Donkey Kong Jr.

Donkey Kong Jr. is a 1982 platform game developed and published by Nintendo for arcades. It is the sequel to 1981's Donkey Kong, but with the roles reversed compared to its predecessor: Mario is now the villain and Donkey Kong Jr. is trying to save his kidnapped father. After its initial release in arcades, the game was ported to a variety of home consoles, including the Famicom/Nintendo Entertainment System. The game's title is written as Donkey Kong Junior in the North American arcade version and various conversions to non-Nintendo systems.

Where Donkey Kong Jr. sits on the grid

The grid places every game in the catalogue on measured axes rather than on an opinion. This is where Donkey Kong Jr. lands on each map it has the data for, with the share of the catalogue it beats on each axis.

Percentiles are against the games that carry a reading on that axis, not the whole catalogue: counting a game with no figure as a zero would flatter everything that has one. How the grid works.

What readers say about Donkey Kong Jr.

Reviews written by people who have played it. These are separate from the GamingPickz Score and are never averaged into it: that score comes from thousands of Steam reviews with a sample-size correction, and a handful of unverified ratings would distort it rather than improve it.
