In your browser, and nowhere else. There is no account and nothing is sent to us or anyone. Clear your browser data and it is gone; set it on another device and it starts fresh there.
What does saving my PC do?
Every game requirement page and every "can I run it" page will then tell you, at the top, whether your machine runs that game, compared against its own Steam requirements by graphics generation.
