Unfortunately, Ubisoft made the decision to use their launcher as a layer of DRM, so my game cannot run from Steam without access to this ubisoft account.

Seconds to minutes later (sometimes I don't even make it to the main menu) my game crashes and a UPLAY error appears telling me that "Your account has been accessed from another location and this may impact your game"...
