Problems players report

We read the 247 most recent negative Steam reviews of BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger on 30 August 2026 and counted what they mention. These are complaints, not confirmed defects: we have not reproduced any of them, and a review describes one person's machine. What the counts tell you is which problems more than one person ran into.

  1. Performance and stutter43 of 247 (17%)

It's incredibly vanilla and has a ton of framerate issues.

Steam review, 14 February 2014 · 1 hours played · 14 readers marked it helpful

Deprived of online MP and achievements, poor controller support (only XInput I suppose), renders at a fixed resolution, comes with an annoying framerate bug which can require an OS restart, was released 4 years too late after many sequels had been released.

Steam review, 28 February 2015 · 0 hours played · 10 readers marked it helpful
  2. Crashes and freezes11 of 247 (4%)

First of all, controls are terrible, even if you change controls, the menu and everything aside fighting phase just doesn't work, some buttons overlay, because you changed it to something else, now it crashes / collides with each other.

Steam review, 31 July 2024 · 3 hours played · 2 readers marked it helpful

Game crashes on startup, despite my having a computer better than the Recommended specs.

Steam review, 29 June 2017 · 8 hours played · 2 readers marked it helpful

A further 12 reviews call the game buggy or broken without saying how, which is why they are counted separately rather than assigned to a theme. Counted by keyword across review text, so a review discussing two problems is counted under both. Read the reviews yourself.
