Problems players report
We read the 300 most recent negative Steam reviews of Crysis on 30 August 2026 and counted what they mention. These are complaints, not confirmed defects: we have not reproduced any of them, and a review describes one person's machine. What the counts tell you is which problems more than one person ran into.
- Crashes and freezes32 of 300 (11%)
Maybe buying this trilogy at least means I'll be able to play C3 without crashing in the prologue.
Steam review, 9 January 2026 · 0 hours played · 29 readers marked it helpfulThe remastered version has some blocking bugs, where your car will crash in the middle of the mission for no reason.
Steam review, 21 September 2025 · 11 hours played · 23 readers marked it helpful - Performance and stutter26 of 300 (9%)
This thing dropped under 40 FPS on multiple occasions while running on an RTX 4080 and a 5800X3D, not a single game in the market has ever done this, but somehow a remaster of a 2007 game did it.
Steam review, 31 August 2025 · 8 hours played · 57 readers marked it helpfulAlso despite the many patches Crytek made for this remaster this modified version of the old Crytek engine is very unoptimized even for high end gpus like mine.
Steam review, 8 November 2025 · 7 hours played · 23 readers marked it helpful
A further 40 reviews call the game buggy or broken without saying how, which is why they are counted separately rather than assigned to a theme. Counted by keyword across review text, so a review discussing two problems is counted under both. Read the reviews yourself.
