Which games run on 4 GB of RAM?

690 games in our catalogue list a minimum requirement of 4 GB or less, which means a machine with 4 GB can run them. The most-played is Dota 2. This reads the minimum figure from each game's own Steam requirements, not the recommended one, because the minimum is what decides whether a game will start at all.

Does "runs on 4 GB" mean it will run well?

No. It means the game meets its own minimum to launch and be playable, not that it will hit a high frame rate. A game whose minimum is 4 GB and whose recommended figure is higher will run better with more. RAM is also only one part: the graphics card usually matters more, and this page does not check that.

Where do these requirements come from?

Each game's own Steam store page, read on 5 September 2026. Publishers write these themselves and occasionally understate them, so treat a game near the 4 GB line as "probably", not "certainly".
